Ashley, technically I'm from Vallejo, but during the summer I tutor Language and run as yard supervisor for the kids at a school in Oakland. And I go to Walnut Creek all the time for the great foods (had California Pizza Kitchen for the first time there–YUM) and the Apple store, of course wink

lilmac, I don't mind given tutorials (now that I remembered how dohsmile, but it kinda matters if you have the right programs to do it. I've been using Adobe Image Ready but I'm sure there are other ways to make animations.

Yep, it's all about the programs.

I used to use Imageready, it's awesome smile

With Photoshop CS4 (actually I think CS3 also has it), it's all integrated into Photoshop, no more Imageready for me.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but the integration is nice.

I'd help too, but I'm using a Mac running Snow Leopard. Do you have a PC or Mac, lilmac?

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any free programs that make animated icons… at least none that turn out very well.

But hey, I'd be more than willing to take requests if you've got something specific in mind!
