Halloween Fun on Castle
Posted on October 12, 2009 | 10 Comments

We reported earlier that we’ll be seeing Nathan Fillion resemble a familiar character from his past in the Halloween episode coming up in a couple of weeks.  A new cast photo has also emerged that indicates we can look forward to a fun episode.

The episode “Vampire Weekend” was written by Terri Miller and directed by Karen Gaviola and will air on October 26.

They look great, but I thought Nathan would be dressed like Mal from FireFly? I see Seamus has reverted back to the evil Ian Devlin from GH. I can’t wait for this episode, I love Halloween so this is going to be so much fun to watch. I love this show!!! I look forward to Monday’s.

I’m really bummed to not see Nathan as Mal for this episode. I was soooo looking forward to it! And the funny thing is I thought that Seamus was Ghetti from Army Wives. If I am not mistaken, his following on AW was larger than his following on GH.
Largely due to the fact that it was a prime time show that is now shown all over the world in many languages and on armed forces tv. Do they do that with soaps? ( I am seriously asking this question as I don’t know.) But I follow the AW site at Lifetime, so I know the fan base for that show. And it’s world wide.

At any rate, I can’t wait to see this episode. The whole Vampire culture in the US is growing steadily. It’s really interesting to me.

Yes, Seamus was Dr. Ghetti on Army Wives and his character – though not on the show for that long – did seem to have quite a following.

PS: Love the costumes even though I’m not much of a fan of Halloween (personal preference), but though Nathan was going to have a character Mal-inspired… what happened?

Stana doesn’t look like she’s dressed up.

It doesn’t look like Kate Beckett is in costume, but how can you tell? She’s wearing a trench coat! And whatever is under has to be shorter than the coat, so it’s anybody’s guess! I’m loving Catwoman though! Fantastic! But what happened to Alexis? She doesn’t get to dress up?

  6. Castle [Admin] Says:

Why is everyone assuming Castle will only wear one costume in the episode? We’ll see his “Browncoat” costume, I’m sure.

Well what writer with Ricky’s sense of humor wouldn’t go as Poe? Esp. since Poe is having such a great come back what with last year’s postage release and all. yeah, I know Rick is a sci-fi geek. But if he’s “in the closet” about that, he wouldn’t necessarily show up at the 12 as Mal. Mal is either “for the ladies” (since Kirk is too on the nose, and copyright protected I’m sure) or he gets busted being a geek. :) :) :) Boy I hope so.

  8. Rebelgrunt Says:

Let’s not forget about Caleb from Buffy…Granted I’m a Browncoat all the way; but Mr. Fillion has played more then just Mal…But I too would love to see him even in a costume montage(sp) when he’s trying to find the right one to have the Browncoat and tight pants go flashing by…

  9. glyphgeek Says:

I’m a bad geek. I didn’t watch Buffy much (no TV). Rest assured I’ll look it up ;)
And there is always Captain Hammer to which Ryan or Espo might state “Can’t touch that”. Hmmm… probably copyright protected too.
Anyway, are you guys in the chats on Monday?
