Sanctuary for Kids are building a village of virtual adobe (earth brick) houses. Each home is $2000 with bricks costing $20 each. This means 100 bricks builds a home. People are being encouraged to get together with others to donate entire “houses” and Castle fans are eager to participate by purchasing a “Castle house” for the village.
Funds raised through the virtual houses will be dispersed to Sanctuary for Kids supported charities helping children in need in places like Nepal and Haiti. Full details can be found on the Sanctuary For Kids website where you can also learn more about what the organisation itself is all about. You can keep up to date with progress via the S4K Twitter and Facebook accounts.
To be counted towards the Castle house you need to add the word “Castle” in the comments when you make your donation. We’ll try to keep track of how many bricks we buy and keep you updated on how things are going. In order to be able to do this please post in the comments below or send us an email via the contact page when you make a donation. Sanctuary for Kids will also give us updates as often as they can.
While each brick costs $20 feel free to donate less or more as your personal situation allows.

Using one of my favorite shows to support a charity of my other favorite show, how could I say no. I donated $40, but forgot to specify Castle House. I did send an email to see if they could fix that. I’ll see how it goes.
