With filming due to resume on Monday the Castle writing team have been hard at work creating exciting new stories for season 3. There have been some changes to the writing team this season and we’d like to introduce you to three new members of the team.
David Amann has spent the last fifteen years working on series including Chicago Hope, the X-Files and Without A Trace. Amann has joined Castle as a writer and Executive Producer. Matt Pyken‘s credits include Las Vegas, Knight Rider and NCIS: Los Angeles and Scott Williams has worked on series including Third Watch, Bones and Miami Medical. Pyken, Amann and Williams join returning writers Andrew Marlowe, Moira Kirland, David Grae, Terri Miller, Alexi Hawley, Elizabeth Davis, Will Beall, Terrence Paul Winter, Shalisha Francis along with writer’s assistants John Zaozirny and Kate Sargeant.
With the experience these new team members bring to the writing room combined with the proven talents of the rest of the team we can be confident that season 3 of Castle is going to be phenomenal.
Marlowe, Hawley and Kirland will be writing the first three dynamic and fun episodes and throughout the season we’ll learn more about the lives of the supporting characters.

Season 3 will be a blast, with the ‘seasoned’ Castle writers and the new blood. I can’t IMAGINE what excellent storylines are going to come out of this crew!
I see there was no mention of Kate Sargeant, will she be returning? I really enjoyed her episode, The Mistress Always Spanks Twice.

Love the countdown!!!! With the additions to the stellar writing team I think we will have quite a rollarcoaster ride with season 3. I can’t wait!!! Guess I have to.
I adore this show and the entire cast. Back to work everyone and will be looking forward to what comes.
Hopefully they can redeem themselves from the season finale. But, it sounds like season 3 is gonna be great!

Is it just me, or is the universe a happier place knowing that there is actually going to be a Season III and it is before the cameras as of this AM? I’m sorry that their vacations are over, but I’m thrilled that they are back at work. . .

i love this show. I am a firefly fan and nathan and Katic stana and molly quinn are my favs stars, i think Molly should be kidnapped and they have to race to save her from a serial killer/ rapiest who give the police 10 days to find his victims and on the ten bad things happen and make the bad guy like super smart and out of his mind.
like lecter. have them save her but castle ends up shooting him and molly is in a coma from a fall, beckett stays by his side while molly is between live and death.
she is with him in his blackest night holding his hand. his mom and beckett are with him in the morning. The doctors come in and take molly to the op rm and
will she make it or not? ( SHE DAMM WELL BETTER I LOVE THIS FAMILY)

but this is our show treat them w/ respect cause we are watching.
I went to a booksigning of a best selling Fantasy/Mystery writer, who mentioned that for a cancer cause he supported, he auctioned off “a grisly death”. He took the top bidder and created a support character based on that person and killed them off. I would love to see Castle do something like this and then – the person is killed. Just some fodder for the writing team.
